Our menstrual cycles influence the way we feel, think and move through the world, but it can be difficult to recognise our own patterns when we aren’t paying attention to them over time.
Moon and My Cycle is a printable year-long resource designed to help you become more familiar with your menstrual cycle by recording simple observations each day. Alongside your own cycle, the diary plots the changing phases of the moon throughout 2027, providing another natural rhythm to observe and compare.
Each month includes a blank version so you can fill in the correct moons for your location, along with the daily moon phase for Perth, Western Australia, whether the moon is waxing or waning, and its approximate percentage of illumination. There is also space to record your cycle day, menstrual flow, mood, energy levels and physical symptoms.
Over several months, you may begin to recognise changes that occur at particular points in your menstrual cycle: days when you have more energy, times when you naturally turn inward, changes in mood or sleep, physical symptoms, or patterns you hadn’t noticed before. You may also find it interesting to see where your own cycle falls alongside the lunar cycle.
The 2027 diary includes: 12 printable monthly pages from January to December; daily moon phase and illumination information for Perth, Western Australia; space to record cycle day and menstrual flow; mood, energy and body/symptom tracking; and a moon-phase reference for each month.
Bonus: this download also includes August to December of 2026, so you can begin tracking your cycle and the moon straight away.
Print the whole year, or simply print one month at a time and keep the pages somewhere you will actually use them.
This resource is intended as a personal observation and reflection tool and is not intended to predict menstrual cycles or replace medical advice.
